SimVentions is 100% employee-owned and proudly ranked among Virginia’s Best Places to Work year after year!  We are looking for a driven Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting the AN/SLQ-32(V)7 Electronic Warfare Spectrum Operions (EWSO) program. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between high-end Electronic Warfare (EW) capabilities and Integred Comb Systems. The successful candide will apply core systems engineering principles—including requirements murion, system-of-systems integrion, and lifecycle validion—to ensure the warfighter has a resilient and effective EW suite. You will work directly with government stakeholders to mure the (V)7 variant, moving from abstract mission needs into valided tactical scenarios and da-backed performance analysis.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigion and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified informion. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

• Minimum 5+ years (Journeyman) of systems engineering experience. Candides with significant experience in Electronic Warfare or Comb Systems may be considered for a Senior Engineer level.
• Demonstred experience in requirements development, system design documention, and the technical review process.
• Strong ability to analyze complex, multi-domain dasets and author formal, compliant technical reports, test plans, and executive briefs.
• Proven ability to develop system requirements and technical documention.
• Experience with tactical simulors (e.g., TACSIM or similar) and the ability to design/run test scenarios.
• Strong capability to analyze complex dasets and transle them into formal, compliant test reports and briefs.
• Comfortable working 100% on-site in a government lab environment and participing in high-level technical meetings.

• Full Lifecycle Systems Engineering: Lead the technical analysis and integrion of the AN/SLQ-32(V)7 variant into larger shipboard Comb Systems (e.g., Aegis), ensuring interoperability and mission success.
• Requirements Engineering: Drive the definition, decomposition, and traceability of system-level requirements. Transle high-level operional needs into detailed technical specificions for EW software and hardware components.
• Technical Stakeholder Management: Act as a technical subject mter expert during formal reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR), design sit-downs, and working groups, ensuring technical integrity across the program lifecycle.
• Modeling & Simulion (M&S): Develop complex test scenarios within tactical simulion environments (such as TACSIM) to model AN/SLQ-32(V)7 performance against representive thres.
• System Validion & Troubleshooting: Execute simulion runs, identify system anomalies, and perform root-cause analysis to resolve integrion blockers between EW suites and comb management systems.
• Da-Driven Decision Support: Collect, reduce, and analyze tactical da from simulion and test events. Draft formal technical reports and briefs th transle raw da into actionable engineering recommendions.
• Verificion & Validion (V&V): Support approximely one major Test & Evaluion (T&E) event per month, validing th system performance meets established benchmarks in tactically relevant environments.

• EW/Comb Systems: Direct experience with the AN/SLQ-32 family of systems or Aegis Weapon System integrion.
• Specific Program Knowledge: Familiarity with Electronic Warfare (EW) mission areas and the SEWIP program.
• Self-Starter: Ability to troubleshoot simulion runs and technical issues independently with minimal guidance.
• Systems Integrion: Experience with System-of-Systems (SoS) integrion, specifically regarding sensor-to-shooter loops or electromagnetic spectrum operions.
• Testing Rigor: Experience defining "Success Criteria" and "Measures of Performance" (MOPs/MOEs) for complex, multi-domain system tests.
• Tools: Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.

Compension SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candide’s experience, educion, training, security clearance, work locion, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corpore compension plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compension range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 (USD). This estime reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compension package th SimVentions offers.
