Works with pretty much any stairway handrail from 1&1/4" to 4& 1/2".
Allows user to drill accurate holes into the bottom of the hand rail with either a level or angled scenario. Drilling holes for tapered balusters to insert into the hand rail going up stairs is no longer a dread. It's something to look forward to using this special tool. This is a complete kit with instruction sheet, two booklets, professionally re-sharpened drill bits and many extra accessories. Used probably 12 times by a remodeling carpenter that's retired now. This tool is no longer made. Last price was $1095.95 on sale. Oh, almost forgot, bonus- included is the plumb baluster layout tool. It's telescopic, has two levels for plumbing both directions and a spring loaded pin to mark the center for drilling. This was $100.00 years ago. Have not seen this accessory anywhere. No. Neck, Va.
