About The Artist
Vernon Rollins, 1951-2012. He was an American artist from Tidewater, Virginia. He's known for his paintings of the
Atlantic seashore and tideland scenery. Coastal lighthouses and rolling sand dunes are constant sources of
inspiration and subject matter. His paintings are predominantly realistic, although his admiration of the French
impressionists is frequently reflected in his works of water lilies, poppy fields, and native wild flowers. He worked
with acrylic polymer.
Rollins earned a BA degree from Baylor University in Theatrical Scenery Design and Production. Memberships: The
American Art Society and the Rehoboth Art League of Rehoboth Beach Delaware. His works are in both private and
public collections including The Museum of the Albemarle, The American Art Society, the Seaside Art Gallery in Nags
Head, North Carolina, and The Mu Epsilon Society of Realistic Painters.
